How my journey started

Hi, I'm Sam Wild, a photographer and visual storyteller.

For more than a decade, I've travelled across South America, Africa, Asia and beyond, documenting the people, wildlife and landscapes that reveal how our world is changing.

Along the way, I've learned that the most powerful stories are often found away from the spotlight - in everyday moments, quiet conversations, and unexpected encounters. Those are the stories I love to tell.

I'm drawn to places at the intersection of climate change, conservation and conflict, but what interests me most is the human experience at the heart of them. From communities adapting to drought and displacement to wildlife and ecosystems under increasing pressure, I seek out stories that explore our relationship with each other and the natural world.

Exposing through an Image

For me, photography is about far more than what a camera can see. It's about curiosity, trust and connection. The strongest images don't just show you what happened - they help you feel it.

Through documentary, landscape and street photography, I aim to create images that are both visually striking and emotionally honest; inviting you to look closer, ask questions and see the world from a different perspective.

When I'm not on assignment, you'll find me planning my next adventure, getting lost somewhere new, or following a story that hasn't quite let go of me yet.
